use reconstituted injection solution if there is any sign of turbidity. 1

Do NOT
freeze reconstituted cefazolin. 1

Safety
for use in premature infants and infants under one month has not been
established. 1,4 However, a
few neonatal dosage recommendations are available in literature.4

Paediatric:
ü Maximum concentrations for peripheral
administration are :
77 mg/mL in D5 ;
69 mg/ml in NS ; 138 mg/ml in sterile WFI.3,4
ü Concentration recommended for INTERMITTENT
INFUSION = 5-20 mg/mL4
