Malaria Prophylaxis

 Specific population risk groups of Malaria include :
  • Traveller or visitors to endemic areas
  • Pregnant woman
  • Infants and children under five years old
  • Patients with HIV/AIDS
  • Army personnel
  • Loggers/rubber tappers
  • Workers in endemic areas e.g . dam construction, plantation
Table below shows drugs that can be used as prophylaxis for Malaria :
