Tranexamic Acid : Renal Adjustment

Availability:
  • Tranexamic Acid Capsule 250mg
  • Tranexamic Acid injection 100mg/ml
Rationale
  • 90% excreted by glomerular filtration in 24h (IV)
  • Thus there is a risk of accumulations in renal impaired patients
  • Overdose symptoms include dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Orthostatic symptoms and hypotension may occur.

  • Dose and its adjustments are also dependent on the indications
