H. Pylori Eradication Regimens

	Tetracycline 500mg PO qid for 10-14 days +  Metronidazole 400mg PO tds +  Bismuth subcitrate 420mg PO qid  for 10-14 days	Recurrence H. Pylori disease Doxycycline can be substituted for  tetracycline if unavailable
	Amoxicillin 1g bd for 5 days then Clarithromycin 500mg + Tinidazole 500mg or Metronidazole 500mg bd for another 5 days	Substitute to levofloxacin 500mg PO od  in clarithromycin resistance  (Sanford)
	Bismuth subsalicylate 525mg qid + Tetracycline 500mg qid + Metronidazole 250mg qid  for 14 days	Penicillin allergy (Sanford) Doxycycline can be substituted for  tetracycline if unavailable
	Levofloxacin 500mg od or moxifloxacin 400mg od +  Amoxicillin 1g bd  for 7-10 days.	For retreatment or salvage (Sanford) Ciprofloxacin has increased resistance
	Ofloxacin 400mg bd +  Amoxicillin 1g bd for 14 days	Helicobacter journal
	Rifabutin 150mg +  Amoxicillin 1g bd for 14 days	Salvage therapy (last line) (WHO)
	Nitrofurantoin 100mg +  bismuth salicylate 500mg +  tetracycline 500 mg tds for 14 days	Low efficacy of nitrofurantoin,  not recommended by WHO (WHO)
	Furazolidine 200mg bd+  Amoxycillin 1g bd for 7 days	Furazolidine-based regimen has  low eradication rate (Medscape)
