Correction Factor
- Estimation of how much 1 unit of rapid-acting insulin will lower the blood sugar (Insulin Sensitivity Factor, ISF)
- Must be individually set
- Exm: 1 unit of rapid-acting insulin lowers blood sugar level by 2mmol/L
- The amount given to correct these high values are called Correction Bolus/Dose
Insulin Scale
- Amount of insulin to be given before a meal, listed on a scale
- Calculated based on individual Correction Factor and Target Blood Sugar Range
